Position Title: Religious Education Assistant Coordinator

Position Type: Part-time

Time Commitment: Averages 20 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities: Support the Religious Education (RE) Coordinator by providing communications, business operations and administrative support of the RE Program which provides in-house and at-home religious education and sacramental preparation for 800+ children during the academic year (Sept-May) and 2 week summer program ( every July).

Specific Duties Include:
o Create and send email, text and social media communications (as needed) to RE parents and teachers about weather related closings, reminders, and special events
o Maintain database of RE participants and process registrations using web-based interface
o Maintain the accuracy of the RE Calendar (web-based)
o Assist in the planning and delivery of annual sacramental (Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation) and special events for children.
o Maintain and update attendance, grading and sacramental completion records.
o Assist volunteer catechist teachers as needed

Required Skills and Experience:
o Excellent organizational skills
o Positive track record working with children and parents in group settings
o Strong communication skills (oral and written)
o Working knowledge of web/desktop software (MS Word, Excel, Google)
o Working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
o Must pass background check (Diocese of Trenton requirement)
o Living the Catholic Faith and Knowledge of Church teachings
