Donations for Hurricane Irma Relief

posted Sep 12, 2017, 10:54 AM by Sue Hodgkiss

In a note from Bishop O’Connell to all pastors, he noted that parishes would be hard-pressed to have another emergency collection so soon after the first for those who have become victims of Hurricane Irma. The Bishop recommends that for those whose means allow, if you wish to contribute to Hurricane Irma relief, that can be done through Catholic Charities USA directly, and 100% of your donation will be sent to those affected in Florida. The details of how to donate at Catholic Charities USA can be found on our parish web site. Alternatively, anyone wishing to make a direct contribution can drop it off at our parish office, and all such donations received will be aggregated and sent by us to Catholic Charities. For those who wish to contribute personally toward Hurricane Irma Relief, please send your contributions directly to Catholic Charities USA.  100% of proceeds will go directly to relief efforts in the affected areas.
