The Statement of Activities for July 1, 2014 - June 30, 2015 is now available. Download Here December 2015 Dear Sisters and Brothers of the Church of the Nativity, It has been close to six months now, since we started to work together following the calling of our Lord Jesus Christ to be his disciples. This has been a real challenge for me to be the first Peruvian priest and Pastor of this great community. I embrace· this challenge with humbleness. It is not easy to be the first priest with a funny accent and the one you try hard to understand. I know some of you are happy and others are not. Trust me I know what you are feeling. When I was a child we had two priests close to my house, one was a priest from the US with a heavy English accent and the other priest was from Croatia that spoke Spanish with a very heavy Croatian accent. It was not fun at all! At this time, I want to thank you for your continued support of our Parish. It is now time for me to report to you our financial results from 7/1/14 to 6/30/15. Although, I was not the Pastor at this time, you need to review our results. Nativity shows a net loss of $76,397. A large part of this deficit continues to be the cost of our religious education program so we have made the decision to raise the tuition from $125 to $150 which will be effective for the September 2016 school year. Our religious education program student enrollment continues to be about 1100 students which is one of the largest after school programs in Monmouth County. We continue to work hard to control our religious education costs but we need to have the families of the students increase their weekly donations for us to succeed. Other contributing expenses were: A huge $32,000 cost for the removal of snow, providing safer insulation for the walls in the Parish Hall, remediating a major water problem in the Rectory basement by water proofing the entire basement, upgrading the new sound system in the Church, repairing old air handlers in the church, cleaning duct work in the Church and the Rectory, making the final payment on the Parking Lot repaving, upgrading landscaping and eliminating the safety hazard from Gumballs by removing the Gumball Trees. I want to personally thank Fr. Bob for all he had done for this community. And, ~look forward to working with and getting to know each of you . I hope you and your family have a very blessed If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Respectfully yours in the Lord, Father Daniel Peirano |
